“Nothing bigger can come to a human being than to love a great Cause more than life itself, and to have the privilege throughout life of working for that Cause.”

We change the world through one deed at a time. Along the way we might find a cause that speaks to our heart and then we find a deeper level of fulfillment. We can find many ways to spend our lives, but helping those who are not capable of helping themselves is one of the most rewarding of all past times.
When I took my brother at 15 to live with me when I was 24, I became aware of how difficult it was for most teenagers to find wholesome things to do on a regular basis. So, I started an organization to support youth.
I met some people who were involved in raising funds for a Boys and Girls club in Oakland by conducting golf tournaments in the 80’s. I ended up organizing ten tournaments a year for various non profits.
In the 90’s I heard children who were molested were placed in juvenile hall because there is no other place for them to live in California, I rallied the business people I knew to raise funds for a housing project for these children.
Just before my brother passed in 2008 I told him I would build a school for kids at risk as a legacy to his life. It is one of the most worthwhile causes I have ever been a part of.
Find a cause and find yourself!
