“Money may not buy happiness, but I’d rather cry in a Jaguar than on a bus”

(June 21, 1935 – September 24, 2004)

real name Françoise Quoirez – was a French playwright, novelist, and screenwriter.

When I was in my teens, one of our neighbors said “you can fall in love with a rich man just as well with a poor man!”

Of course I didn’t pay attention and I think I even believed there was something more romantic about being poor and the challenges of working towards a common goal and achieving it together had great appeal for me personally.

And throughout my life I’ve made more than three times my age (supposedly the rule of thumb of success) and I’ve struggled just to get by when I was going through major health issues.

Françoise is right however, I do prefer to be driving a new sport scar rather than a ten year old sedan any day! I am not impressed with wealth, but have a great appreciation for what it can do.

The more we have, the more we can help others. The more we help others to learn how to take care of themselves, the more we lift others up to live the life they truly deserve.
